Meet Doc Hollywood, 1 year old 13 lbs Havanese mix,  rescued from Los Angeles West Valley Shelter.  Doc came into the shelter with a large neck wound probably from a dog attack. Doc has over 25 staples and healing nicely.  Doc is getting neutered in the new year and will be up for adoption.

Meet Kenny, 2 year old 7 lbs Miniature Poodle with under developed eyes, rescued from Bakersfield City Shelter, CA.  Kenny was shaved down by the shelter.  He went straight to the vet hospital and got bloodwork with fecal done.  Kenny is treated for Giardia. Sweet limited vision Kenny is full of kisses and love.  He barks at other dogs.. Kenny is getting neutered, microchip and dental.  Kenny is scheduled to see the specialist at EyeCare for Animals. Kenny is under Second Chances for Blind Dogs.

Meet Puppy India, 9 weeks old 2.7 lbs Maltese Shi Tzu mix rescued from Los Angeles East Valley Shelter with chest trauma.  We rushed India to Van Nuys Vet Clinic where we found out the owner had been there earlier that afternoon. Dr Oh recommended that the puppy go to Urgent Vet Care.  India went to Access Speciality Vet Hospital where the vet recommended that she be put to sleep as she had a hard time breathing.  We took the chance in life and took her home to be in our professional Oxygen Unit. The next day India was alert.  The next day Critical care vet at Access was surprise at her quick recovery.  India is on Clavamox to prevent pneumonia.  She will get xrays to how her lungs and head are doing.
India's adoption include her emergency critical care, spay microchip, and puppy vaccines.  Puppy India's adoption donation is $600 plus spay deposit. 
Meet Jacky, 2 year old 11 lbs female Shih Tzu, owner surrendered.  Jacky came from a hoarding home.  Jacky and her siblings lived outdoors.  Jacky is doing well on her potty training.  She looks like she had a litter of puppies.  Jacky's adoption include her spay, vaccinations and microchip.  Jacky's adoption donation is $500
Meet Martha, 11 month old 11 lbs Shih Tzu owner surrendered from a hoarding home.  These precious girls lived outside.  They are doing well on their potty training.  They are shy but warm up after they know you.  Martha is spayed,  vaccinated and microchipped. Martha's adoption donation is $500
Meet Eleanor, 11 month old 12 lbs Shih Tzu owner surrendered from a hoarding home.  These precious girls lived outside.  They are doing well on their potty training.  They are shy but warm up after they know you.  Eleanor is spayed,  vaccinated and microchipped.

Meet Gigi, 6-7 year old 4.8 lbs Maltese Poodle mix rescued from Los Angeles East Valley Shelter. Gigi is recovering from Kennel Cough.  She has a small mammary mass the needs to be removed.  Gigi had an abscess in her mouth which disappeared after receiving antibiotics.

Meet Kobe is a darling 7-8 year old 4 lbs Maltese with a lot of medical issues.  Kobe was rescued from Los Angeles East Valley Shelter with a large bladder stone.  He had to have emergency cystotomy surgery, with 2 small masses removed and his teeth scaled.  Kobe has a growth on his eye which will be examined at Eyecare for Animals.  More updates to come for Kobe.
Meet Coco, 12 yr old 10 lbs Poodle mix rescued from Los Angeles East Valley Shelter.  Her owner surrendered her for getting old and tried to replace her with a younger dog. After seeing the vet and getting bloodwork, Coco is on insulin for diabetes and heart meds (grade 4 heart murmur).
Coco has a Muffin's Halo for Blind Dogs. Coco is looking for a hospice home that will love her until the angels call.  Coco's adoption donation is waived under Second Chances for Blind Dogs.
Meet Mercy, 16 year old 3 lbs Yorkie rescued from Los Angeles West Valley Shelter.  Mercy is a gentle old soul.  She is stiff from old age but with a will to live. Mercy loves to eat and roam.  She is underweight at 3 lbs as she is skeletal.  Mercy is getting bloodwork done and hope to get dental care to remove the decay of age.  Mercy has a hospice home waiting for her when she is strong enough to travel.  Thank you to Second Chances to Blind Dogs for helping with Mercy's medical.
